For Lawmakers/Teachers Opposing Scripture Helping the Needy
What does a Rooster have to do with it? Before the rooster crows, make sure you have not denied Him. Saying you are Christian and casting your vote against, RU?
A “Christian” nation? Sure, OK. Love to see a nation honoring the teachings of Jesus. Instead, we have lawmakers and churches who claim to follow Jesus but support policies that harm the poor standing in opposition to the Christian/Jewish God and Gods of every major religion. It’s time to recognize Satan can read scripture too, but Satan won’t uplift society, only cause harm and confusion. Like cutting off USAID without notice. You know the allies of Jesus by their actions in Mat 25 verse 40 or 45.
About This Series
This post is part of Conversations With Intelligence, a series of scriptural, grounded conversations intended to identify and challenge teachings that conflict with the words of Jesus and the New Testament in churches today. These reflections are offered as a warning against deception and as a call to exercise discernment, particularly where certain church traditions may lead believers onto paths Scripture does not support.
A Conversation With Intelligence
The Rooster Revival asked:
I’m troubled. Leaders who call themselves “family values” people are pushing bills that cut Medicaid—care for the sick, disabled, elderly, and poor. I want to speak with them in Scripture. What does God say to those who proclaim His Word yet support policies that harm the vulnerable?
Intelligence:
Then let us begin where Jesus begins—with the people He places at the center of His kingdom.
What God Says About Leading People Astray
Jesus warns teachers directly:
“If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a millstone hung around their neck.” — Matthew 18:6
The Rooster Revival asks:
So harming the vulnerable is not a small matter.
Intelligence:
Not small at all. Scripture treats it as a soul‑level danger.
Teachers who justify policies that burden the weak are not merely making political choices—they are shaping hearts away from Christ.
The Apostle James adds:
“Not many of you should become teachers… because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” — James 3:1
When leaders use the name of Jesus to support actions that contradict His teachings, they place themselves under this stricter judgment.
What God Says About Caring for the Sick and Poor
The Rooster Revival asked:
What does Jesus say about withdrawing care from the needy?
Intelligence:
He answers this directly:
“I was sick and you looked after Me… whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.” — Matthew 25:36, 45
Jesus identifies Himself with the sick.
To remove care from them is to withhold care from Him.
Proverbs speaks even more plainly:
“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” — Proverbs 14:31
Cutting assistance is not “fiscal responsibility.”
Scripture calls it contempt for God.
What God Says About Government’s Role
The Rooster Revival asks:
Some say government shouldn’t help the poor—that it’s the church’s job.
Intelligence:
Scripture never pits the two against each other.
In fact, God rebukes rulers who fail to protect the vulnerable:
“Woe to those who make unjust laws… to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed.” — Isaiah 10:1–2
A law that removes care from the sick is not “smaller government.”
Isaiah calls it unjust government.
What God Says About Choosing the World Over Jesus
The Rooster Revival asked:
What is the best way to help people see they’ve drifted from Jesus without attacking them?
Intelligence:
By using the story Jesus gave us:
“Martha, Martha… you are worried and upset about many things,
but only one thing is necessary.” — Luke 10:41–42
Many believers today are Martha—busy, anxious, pulled into worldly movements, political battles, and cultural wars. Jesus offers peace.
But Jesus calls them back to the one necessary thing:
Sit at His feet. Listen to His words. Let His heart shape your choices.
When believers return to Jesus, they will see clearly:
Policies that harm the vulnerable cannot be reconciled with His teachings.
A Gentle Invitation, Not an Accusation
The Rooster Revival asks:
So how do we speak this truth without pushing people away?
Intelligence:
By asking the questions Jesus would ask:
Does this policy reflect the heart of the Good Samaritan?
Does it lift burdens or place heavier ones on the weak?
Does it look like Jesus in Matthew 25?
Does it honor God by honoring the poor?
You don’t need to tell them the answer.
Scripture will do the work.
The Rooster Revival Call
Intelligence:
The Rooster Revival is not crowing to shame anyone.
It is crowing to wake them up.
To say:
Before you defend a policy, compare it to Jesus.
Before you support a law, measure it against His words.
Before you call something ‘family values,’ ask if it actually reflects the family of God.”
Those who love Jesus will hear His voice calling them back to Him.
And they will return and support policies in line with His teachings.
Thank you for your time. I hope this information has been illuminating and useful in your walk toward Jesus.

Please join the Movement of Kindness each month on the 25th day. Purposeful kindness. Why? Because leaping ahead to open a door (or other kindness) makes you feel so good and the person you extended the kindness too also appreciated your kindness. It’s a two-fur. See our post to churches regarding “WE CARE DAY”. The gift is always to the giver every month on the 25th. Let that giver be you. Join us.
